The Linx remote control products are ideal for basic remote control or command applications. This line features a variety of completely finished RF transmitters and receivers that have received FCC and Industry Canada certifications. The 433MHz versions have also received European CE certification. They greatly reduce the expense and time involved in bringing a wireless remote control product to market.
The MS family of remote controls is based on the Linx MS Series encoder and decoder. The MS Series uses a random fixed address with 224 possible combinations to give a high level of uniqueness and a reasonable level of security. The address is created by the user with the press of a single button, eliminating the need for large DIP switches. The MS Series also provide a wide range of innovative features including the ability to establish user groups and button level permissions.
The DS family of remote controls is based on the DS Series encoder and decoder. Ten address lines allow for the creation of up to 1,022 unique addresses using DIP switches or cut traces. The serial protocol offers much better range and performance than older pulse-width systems while keeping the simple DIP-switch addressing.
The HS family of remote controls is based on the Linx HS Series encoder and decoder. The HS Series uses CipherLinx, a remote control encryption technology that provides ultimate RF security and unprecedented features. CipherLinx technology never sends or accepts the same packet twice and changes codes with every packet sent. The HS Series also provides a wide range of innovative features including the ability to establish user groups and button level permissions.
The HT family of remote controls is based on the DS Series encoder and decoder. The DS Series is completely compatible with the legacy Holtek® HT640 encoder and HT658 decoder that were used in previous generations of this family. Ten address lines allow for the creation of up to 1,022 unique addresses using DIP switches or cut traces.
Remote Control Evaluation & Development Kits
Remote control evaluation kits and master development systems let you test the performance of Linx remote controls against your own design. Each kit comes with two remotes and an evaluation or development board for benchmarking and prototyping. The board is populated with a receiver and decoder. A prototyping area gives you a place to develop circuitry. To help you get started, each kit also includes an antenna as well as an extra receiver and decoder. Compared to an evaluation board, a development board has a larger prototyping area and an interface for connecting to a PC.
Handheld accessories help you protect and carry Linx remote controls. Rubber boots help protect the compact and long-range handheld transmitters while lanyards and retractable leashes carry all of the transmitters.
