NT Series RF Transceiver Module Master Development System
Not recommended for new designs. Please contact Linx Sales or Customer Service for further details related to this notice.
Rapidly develop hardware and software based on NT Series transceivers and MT Series transcoders with the NT Series RF transceiver module master development system. It comes with two development boards for benchmarking and prototyping, each of which is populated with a transceiver and transcoder. Buttons, switches and knobs in the evaluation area make it simple to control the transceiver through hardware. A large prototyping area isolated from the evaluation area gives you a place to develop circuitry. Lights show you which areas are active. To help you get started, the system also includes antennas, extra modules, connectors, configuration software, and a USB interface for connecting to a PC. When used together, NT Series transceivers and MT Series transcoders let you trigger discrete actions with button presses or contact closures. The NT Series sends and receives digital data continuously or periodically in the 902 to 928MHz band. The MT Series provides a medium level of security. It lets you send commands from multiple transmitters to distinct receivers in the same vicinity through digital addressing. Unlike so-called transparent modules that require a UART interface and buffering scheme, the NT Series transceiver reduces latency by transmitting raw data. To transfer data, all the user has to do is connect circuitry to the input line of the sending transceiver and the output line of the receiving transceiver. The module is completely hardware-configurable. Although programming is not required, the NT Series allows for communication and microcontroller programming over a UART connection, which lets the user implement a frequency agility scheme such as frequency hopping or listen before talk.
